Gone for a while but back to make some new gaming friends
hello everyone. The name is Jason i go by Nismo504 on XBL. I've been lurking around here for a long time but havent really gotten on to meet people and play around. My personal life between work and racing has kept me from playing my xbox. I have recently slowed down in my life that i am able to get back online and play. I currently own a Xbox360. I dont plan on upgrading to the Xbox one unless i stumble upon a good deal on one. I dont have many games so i am limited as to what i can play. The games i have mainly are Call of Duty MW3 Forza 4 and Forza Horizon, Ace Combat, Madden and a few other games that i cant remember at this point. I am looking for some friends to get online with and play around in some games. I am a bit rusty when it comes to playing games online with others. I am mainly availble at night after 6pm cst. If anyone is interested in inviting me online for some game play just shoot me a message on XBL \. I am sorry if i posted this in the wrong place or if i seem a bit long winded.
Assuming you played games before racing, would you say they helped or hurt you on the track? I'm off topic, I know, but I wanted to ask since my latest car has a track package that I'm itching to start using at autocross and/or HPDE. I'm curious if learning things like driving lines in Forza help or if having played them just creates more bad habits for the driving coaches to undue ;)
I was actually racing before i started playing any racing games. Playing Forza helped a little bit with Autocross and kart racing. For what i currently do, no video game can ever really help you improve unless they come out with a true drifting video game.
They can be a huge help...if you can run on the same track. It won't be exact, but the big benefit is it gives you an idea as to what is coming up. They won't help w/ braking points and what not too much, as those will vary a lot from car to car. They can also help train you to look further down the track if you are one of the people that tend to focus on the road 2 car lengths in front. Not saying you are, just that there are people out there like that.
sorry dude id add you but i moved on from 360 to ps4
