Jones!

Took my safety class, have to send off for my background check and get my carry permit. I'll try to get a picture of my "target" they scored me on, not too shabby for 15 years without practice. 48 rounds and only maybe 3 I'm a little critical of.

Wife wants a .380 and I'm inclined to get a 9mm or a .380, still weighing the options...

I would recommend a .357 and load it with Hydrashoks. Plenty of stopping power and the steel jacketed hollowpoint spends all of its energy at the point of impact. It won't go through 8 houses and a school but but it will definitely make a mess of tissue. organs, and bones.Hydrashoks have a stabilizer pin in the hollow point, and the jacket causes the shell to mushroom instead of shattering. Good for apartments.

Just watched a program on the amount of guns being smuggled into the UK, many from the US where a UK citizen was able to buy at least a hunded guns over the counter from the same shop over several visits and smuggle them back in his luggage...

You carry a revolver instead of a semi? I know they are less apt to fail, but as a carry weapon I'd prefer the lighter frame, more rounds and a safety.

Definately agree on the hollowpoints as travel after impact is a major concern.

Used to have a .41 Ruger with hollowpoint/hotloads but it was never a carry piece. 9 inch barrel, heavy as a damn cannon, looked like one too.

I was an early adopter and have had the Samsung Tab for some time, it now lives on my rig on a more or less permanant basis. Handy yoke for trips abroad since my netbook became a little unreliable but outside that my Galaxy SII does the same job in a more portable manner. Now I am on the hunt for a new Laptop, my trusty Vaio is running out of keys...cats...claws...keys, get the picture?. Its a few years old now so can't complain. But my wants are many and my funds are low so am hunting for that must have bargin. Couple of weeks of hunting and nothing leaping out the screen at me yet...

Actually (insert grammar natzi remark here), I'd heard most enjoy them up to 30 minutes...

Prehensile, WTH?
