Anyway back to Ebay to look for a cheap RWD 2 door coupe I can strip down to nothing.

Tell him to look into autocross also, if he's interested in low budget corner carving activities. You've probably got a fairly active SCCA region down there.

Just remember.....half the time in a budget series, the car is the cheapest part. Safety gear/equipment is expensive.
I'd say a cheap RWD will be hard to find over there, a lot more this side.
