I made the mistake of trying to ride one of those stand ups to the point one year. It was not the dumbest thing I ever did but it was close.

It isn't that hard. First time I ever touched one I got up. Riding straight was easy. Turning, not so much. Wish I has video of that ride. Had some pretty sweet bails this year. One involved my ski being 5 feet in the air and upside down.
