Peter Moore's response, pretty much echo's what he already said in his blog..... his statements are recycled as much as their game content one year to the next lol....
Yes, it is pretty stupid that a GAMES company is voted #1 above so many highly unethical companies. But really he should use it as an opportunity to see what can be done better. Don’t insult your customers by calling them "nerds". I wear that badge proudly now, but there was a time when I was young that being called a “nerd” really hurt.
Who dares their customers to quit buying their product? How stupid! “We are going to continue to do things that alienate you, piss you off and deteriorate our brand. If you don’t like it buy something else!” Um…okay I will.
Honestly sometimes I wonder how these bozos are picked for leadership positions like this. With all those millions, he should know better. This is just another example of why those yahoos are overpaid, yet they continue to whine that they are actually underpaid. Yeah right, keep telling yourself that.
In the first two paragraphs he repeats a lot of the same defense he used in his blog post last week. This leads me to think it's a real response.
Assuming that it was actually written by Peter Moore, I actually kind of respect the guy now. It takes some balls to tell angry customers to speak with their wallet instead of dumb internet polls.
Nah, Moore shouldn't be fired; he's right. Given the companies that EA was up against, it's ridiculous to label the worst company in America; there are far worst companies, just as he mentions. Maybe he should be fired for being abrasive? Why? 1) People won't stop buying EA's games over this, 2) as corollary to the first point, it's the money that matters. Who really cares how much of a douche some COO is when he's absolutely correct in his summation.
There are many reasons I don't like EA and don't buy EA games (easy for me to say, I don't buy alot of any companies' games anymore; blame WoW), but this wouldn't be one of them. Even that MS creavitity department guy shouldn't have been fired for his posts. People on the internet can be overly sensitive when willingly following someone else's stream of conciousness ramblings. I find Honey BooBoo to be offensive; I don't boycott the channel, I simply don't watch it.
All that said, fuck EA. They might not be the worst company in America, but they're a shitty game production company that seems to actively try to stick it to their customers. I *still* haven't purcahsed ME3, and all the Dragon Age games I have after the first were purchased at my magic "I'll buy anything!" price point of $19.99. I waited *years* to buy Mass Effect, simply because I don't believe a game is worth more than $20.*
*Halo being an exeption, historically. Though I still haven't purchased Halo4 – I haven't got the time to game much these days
It can't be EA's fault, they said every problem that plagues the company is caused by their homophobic customers.
That one threw me off when I first read it. It's one thing to not take responsibility but that was way out there.
By the way, SimCity gets patches now and then, and each one introduces new bugs. The one I've been dealing with causes millions of pedestrians to walk the sidewalks, leaving me and anyone who looks at my cities with a max of about 2 frames per second.
I went and bought SimCity but I picked up SC4 to scratch my SC itch. Maybe in a year or so i'll pick up SC5 if it works properly, but as it is SC4's got lots of mods and stuff to fix the problems/bugs..
With update 10 you now be able to mod Sim City and play off line. I simply can't believe they were able to enable such things on a game that was designed to run online only. What a master stroke of programming genius...
I think it's pretty cool because not only are they doing offline mode , but they're also opening it up to mods. So people outside of EA/Maxis will fix this game I hope. Might actually buy it now once update 10 drops.
Did they fix the city save issues and ever get traffic straightened out? I know they tried improving traffic but I didn't notice much improvement last time i updated.

That real or just some EA fan boy?
I think the last paragraph is very real, Church. Make your own call:

Cheers for the link.
So EAs apologie (defence) is to just slap us in the face. Sweet
Orth has been released from Microsoft...
Twitter claims another who engaged mouth without thought...
don't think that'll happen here, but we can hope.

1 month later and it still sucks.
The silence from EA is deafening

Oh, I don't know about that but I thought it was neat that the jackasses released a patch that enabled offline play.
