Mech Gaming Forum Request
Would love to have a general gaming forum for Mech Games. As it stands I have no spot currently that is a good place to put the Armored Core 5 topics, on Operator role, garage, designs, missions, tactics. etc. Plus we got Mech warrior Online releasing this year as well as Steel Battalion....
I know you guys is busy and the first one doesn't come out for another 15 days, but we needs to build the hype ya? We need to builds the Hype Ya! And I need a place to rebuild those topics and get the garage spreadsheet out there to people who are interested in designing some preliminary Mechs.
agreed, there are several mech games coming out atleast one of them should stick when thrown against the wall. ArmoredCore5 has enough intrest in this forum.

You are probably busy with other stuff and all but I thought I would give it a little bump just incase it was forgotten.
Yes it would be nice to have a home for these games when you get a chance.
I think there a quite a few Mech game releases this year alone, the first of which is the 20th of this month.
I too would like Mech Forum. AND is there anyway to bookmark a particular forum rather than just a thread?

Hmm, I was about to post this today but I'm not sure what cat mech should go under. Ideas?
How about a Mech Gaming forum under General Gaming and then as the other mech games release there can be sub-forums under that for the different titles. Kind of like the RPG forum is set up now.
I was thinking abotu that but is mech gaming really its own Genre? It just seems weird to add it to its own location. I suppose it kinda is.
I was pondering the same thing as I was writing that post. I don't think it really matters where it goes as long as it's close. As long as it has it's own forum somewhere is all that matters IMO.
What do you other peeps think that have responded to this topic?
Mech should be a sub forum for the shooter genre imo, as thats the first place i would look if i was trying to find a place to talk about these type of games. but i agree that it really doesnt matter this place is pretty close knit group, all you have to do is ask and people are more then happy to point you in the right direction.
Its kinda like a shooter... but then so is a tank game and so is fighter jet game... but we don't really consider them shooters... Haha Perhaps simulater is the category here? Or perhaps Vehicles of death game? What category Twisted Metal belong to anyway? Shooter, racing, action, not really a simulator.......
So hmmm maybe a cat that is Vehicles of Death. With a sub for mech games as they can get pretty in depth when it comes to design.

I would say there should be a seperate Mechs forum. There's quite a few of those coming this year, it'd be good to have somewhere to talk about them without cluttering up the FPS forum.
With the new Steel Batalion and Armored Core V coming out, there wil surely be more action in the mech games. I for one would like to request a forum are for mechs. If not, at least for Armored Core V, as there will be a need to communicate since the multiplayer is rather complex and requires team involvement.
I think I'll go with Mech Forum. Should be up today.
