New posts

It appears that the little thing on the left turns yellow when there is a new post in a thread and is white when there isn't.  However, this doesn't work for me.  Yellow and white seems to be completely random.  We need a "posts since last visit" button that doesn't  also show all the groups forums I'm not supposed to go into.
