The workers were doing long shifts with no down time and protested, this I remember, after the suicides. The plant had guidelines in place for shifts but was not following them. The workers go in, 6 months at a time or something, live/work on site and then 6 months off or something of the like. its been months and months back. Was tied to Apple for a bit.
Many of those reports are bullshit. We all know where out shit comes from, iphones, tablets, pc's or any other shit you buy from Wal-Mart.
If we all think that Xbox's and Playstations are built by Keebler elves or robots we are sadly mistaken. If you have been to China and seen many workshops aka sweatshops, then you would agree that Foxconn is actually on top of the chain. Some of these shops are horrible and coditions are much more extreme. Foxconn looks like Google workplace compared to other places.

Just because they may not whip the workers (but they may rape them, according to the report above) doesn't mean they should be excused for inhumane conditions.
