saying goodbye to friend
chris lewis aka paingod was a friend and teammate that i meet when we were both members here. im trying to come to terms with losing someone that i was close to but never had the chance to meet in person. he was a one of the good guys and for him to to be taken so young is a complete shock.
when you share so many good times with people and share in the laughter and the spirit of competition its hard to not get wrapped up in the personal side of life. i have cried with friends over the birth of their children, the death of family members, and celebrating marriage. this is the first time i have ever had to come to terms with losing a friend this way.
i am putting this here because if it wasnt for this site i would have met the people i have and made the friends that turned out to safe my life last year. this is much harder than i thought it would be but saying good bye in such a senseless accident just helps me appreciate the bonds that are made from gaming.
thank you for taking the time to read this.
I know exactly how you feel. So sorry for your loss. :(
Sorry to hear about this. I never thought that I could become close to people I have never met but after joining this site, I understand.
exactly this^
sorry for your loss.
Sad news indeed.
My condolences to his family and friends (online and offline).
I used to play the haloz with paingod and he was always a cool dude.
The world lost a good one with his passing.
I think understand the position you are in and the feelings you might have.
You have already completed an important function. You've recognized that person right here. If he was here, he would be impressed at your thoughtful gesture.
Being remembered favourably after death is about all that we can hope for. That is true both on and off line.
Whenever a friend or family member passes on, I invoke my memories of them from times past. I honour them in this way whenever they pop into my head.
For as long as we live, our late friends also have a life within us.
I'm in complete shock. Having played with pain on several occasions and him being a member of OG I'm absolutely devastated by the news. Nothing I type here will express my sense of loss, but all I can say is he was a GREAT human being.
Losing yet another 2o2p member this way in the same year is hard, but not unexpected given our niche. It certainly never gets easier. Bless his friends and family.
Condolences Big, and to his family and friends. We ran in a lot of the same circles and I definitely played my share of games with the guy. Thanks for sharing with us - it lets us respect his memory in our own way.
My Deepest condolences for your lost and to chris family
I understand how you feel losing a friend is never a easy thing and matter not if you met face to face or not he was your friend and that what matter the most

for those that knew him and gamed with him this is his obituary.
Im with Big on this one. I first met PainGod about 4 years ago when I first joined 2o2p (different SN then) and then joined Pork Chop Platoon. For me, Pain just wasnt a fellow clanmate or gamer, but a brother of the badge. It was pleasure getting to know him and game with him. He will be sorely missed.
condolences to his family and friends. this sucks, he was a young guy.
we are playing mw2 tonight and honoring our friends life. if you would like to join please feel free to do it, this night is about a good man who always had something good to say about everyone.
the reason why this means so much to me and his death hurts so much is because almost a year ago i lost myself to depression and almost overdosed on alcohol and pain killers. he got my number and called me and was one of the group to keep me talking till help arrived. when ever i was hurting or needed someone to talk with he seemed to know and would text me or call me, im asking for anyone that wants to celebrate his life to join us even if its for one or two games.

Ugh. Sorry for your, and, by extension, our loss.
I hope I am remembering correctly but I think I played Chromehounds with paingod. Very sorry to hear about his passing.
I play these on line games to get a way for life's pressure and stress, and find friends who enjoy each others company, so when we turn off the xbox it makes it easier to face the next day,Paingod was one of those friends
