got lucky and the chat adapter was available on Amazon Prime yesterday, so I snagged one for MSRP ($25).

Now that people have had their XB1s and headset, I was wondering how things are working out?

Since I plan to get the XB1 in time for Destiny, I also would like to upgrade my headset.

What headsets are you guys using? How is the sound and chat?

I'd like to hear about Turtle Beach, but also any other brands. How is the Microsoft headset?

XB1 MS Stereo headset. Working great and excellent sound. Love the bass. I can keep my hearing aids on while wearing them too.

The biggest downside (it's not bad at all) is, I wear glasses and the padding squeaks if I change my facial expression. I haven't tried silicone yet. Another similar issue is the cord transmitting noise as is rubs clothing.

I ended up with a pair of Astro 50's and love them.  I have an optical out on my tv so I plugged the base into that.  This way I can use them for both the X1 and 360 without having to change cables.  There is a spedific way to adjust the volumes on the adapter and headset when using them with the x1.

The sound is awesome and is surround sound with both systems.

I followed the Astro instructions, but I still can't get mine quite right.  Either the voice is way too low, or it's echoey.

I'm stuck with the stock headset when I play MP since I never bought the chat adapater for my Titan AX Pros. I feel it works really good for chat.

I have an older pair of TB DX11's. With the chat adapter and the sound output upgrade back in March, I am able to use them with the One. Surround and chat both work great.
