Xbox Gold freebie of note:

Worms: Battlegrounds Is free on Xbox Live Gold. I've never seen any of the franchise but it was free and deletable if it stunk so...why not?

It turns out to be a fairly simply game head to head up to 4 players in  your living room, turn based and only ONE CONTROLLER needed.

There are random maps with color coded players randomly assigned into a rotation of ARTILLERY based attempts to eliminate each other with various interesting weapons and power ups. Game has turn based timers and if everyone's timid, a sudden death imposed time limit towards the end.

Single player campaign is ok, somewhat limited but really intended only to let you figure out what you're doing when facing Timmy, who's truthfully probably gonna whip your butt the first few rounds you play.

Long and short of it, it's a great "sit around the couch and socialize" game.

There are a few other variations to it, here to fore unexplored yet, but rumors of a map editor and online head to head maybe as well?

Also, this appears to be a console version of Worms: Clan Wars which I think was PC?
