I was just reading an article today saying how your smart glass devices will be connecting directly to the xbox and not through a server like they do today. This is to increase the seed and efficiency of using another device.
Since they keep saying smart glass will act like another controller, I bet they will count that as one. So 4 controllers + 4 smart glass devices.
Champions of Norrath is another example of a game that allowed multi-player coop. Up to 4, I believe, not 8, but it was still fun as hell.
Call me crazy, but most of my favorite gaming moments were old school NES or SNES coop gaming, especially Mario Kart, or hot seat games of Alpha Centuri, Civ2, Heroes of Might and Magic and so on.
Until XBL and Halo2, most other gaming I've done is solo. 8 players at once, especially for something like a sports game, seems pretty cool.
Up to six players can be logged on to the Xbox One simultaneously. Once holding a pad, Kinect will be able to use voice and face recognition to sign in that player's gamertag. In a somewhat odd decision, the Xbox One will allow up to eight wireless controllers to be assigned to the console simultaneously. This suggests that the final two pads will only be able to be used as guest accounts.
Can it, Sarcasmo.
No way you have 7 friends so why do you care?

I agree, they just need to sit down and figure it out.
I don't even have 8 seats in my living room.
You'll upgrade. You know you want to.
I recommend cordless seats...
LOL.

Hmm, someone missed that in the meeting, eh?
