Those F*%#ing money grubbing whores!!!
The new VICE. Its akin to throwing dollar bills at strippers on a pole. The Veteran and Spectre pack that can be had for 80ms/160ms points. Yeah, its a buck or 2 bucks a shot, but I think it could fast become the new crack. "I gots to have my pack". Yeah, they were smart to put something like this in the game and its gonna take some willpower to stay away. I confess I had purchased two already and thinking what have I done. I felt cheap, soiled and ashamed. Of course had I gotten the Black Widow, it may have felt more like a happy ending.
Good luck to all who go this route as I am contemplating a 12 step program to ween me off the "quick sale".
You're paying real money for spectre packs?
There's one born every minute

Ok, didn't know that would double post and I can't seem to delete.
Will a mod please delete the GIANT SUCKER post and this one if you come accross them? thanks,
Just relized that while I can edit and delete my first post (maker of thread?) and cannot edit or delete subsequent replies.
Interesting. Did someone fuck up and forget to add that little feature??
Yep. I bought 2. I had 260ms points sitting there for like a year with nothing to spend it on. So what the hell. But it was so EASY to do.
I confess, I paid for one too. I was curious how it works and how quick it was. Turns out it worked quite well and was pretty quick.
I did get the Widow sniper rifle in it... not the Black Widow though :(
I don't see myself buying more of these though - but it is tempting...
RMT is the devil. It has ruined the economy on many of MMO.
As a mod, I could erase your mistake from the site. I, however, take more pleasure in revealing your error for all to see.
You're welcome.
LOL, Gee thx.
To each his own, I say. If you want to spend money unlocks, go for it. EA was smart to do it. Just glad it didn't ooze over into the SP.
im going to say that this is the new trend, ssx has a feature similar to this where you can in-game upgrades/merchandise instead of unlocking them by playing the game.
EA's done this before in other games going back a couple years i believe.
But this is a bit different . Before you paid for something to be unlocked and you got it instantly. Now you're paying for something that's a grab bag, you have no idea what you're buying and it's a never ending expense. meaning once you buy you can keep rebuying.
They're financially exploiting the gamers need / want to chase better loot.
I don't agree with it, this crosses the line for me so I'll buy packs with in-game money. But I also figure they're making out like bandits doing this further encouraging the practice for future games. Won't be long before you need to actually buy ammo crates for your guns in battlefield 4 or other shooters. No thanks.
Bad Company 2 had the same thing. Remember the shortcut packs for each class? If you didn't want to unlock your Engineer weapons the old-fashioned way, you could simply pay some points and unlock all the weapons right away.
As long as it's something you can unlock in the game normally, I'm ok with it. But if they start making it so the ONLY way you can unlock it is by paying for it, that would be a deal breaker for me.
It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. There would be no deal at all! I'd be like Russian Zar! U Siberia!
I don't think that M$ allows transactions over the marketplace that would allow a player to have an unfair advantage over another player.
Hold on a minute. They did allow the SPECACT packs in Bad Company 2 to be bought and those without, did without. Whetther you call that an advantage or not is up in the air, but MS did do it.
Is there anything else in the game to spend the in-game credits on?
