Titanfall Generation requirements
Well not sure if I'm going to do the generations thing myself if all you get is a banner with a number on it. I would rather enjoy having my stuff unlocked than going through it again and again. For those of you that do want to work on the generations I though this link might help.

I'm about to enter Gen 3, the shotgun requirements were pretty easy, but some of those are gonna be rough
COD 4 level 55 10th prestige - NEVER AGAIN !!
Complete BS. They are forcing us to play loadouts to move to the next generation. I never should have regenerated to a 2. Really glad I didn't get the season pass. New content(maps) gives me motivation to play towards the next level/prestige/regen. No point with Titanfall since you have to play with certain weapons to prestige. If new weapons come out you won't be able to use them to regen because of the weapon challenge requirements. Titanfall may get traded when the next Ghosts DLC drops. Grab the trade value now and pick it back up later and possibly on the 360 instead of the One.
This is kind of what I was doing for the last few months of BF3 before BF4 was released, I forced myself to use every weapon until I unlocked all the accessories. It was painful at times, but personally I always feel that there is no "best" weapon to a good player, and it's a nice feeling being able to pick up any weapon on the battlefield and not being disappointed that it's crappy or something that you're not used to.
yep, i find that if i take the time to learn a weapon, most shooter's guns work.
Honestly to me being new to FPS on console I think its a pretty good system. I played COD Ghost and all the prestiege there means is that the person has leveled over and over and over again. Atleast with this one it gives you some kind of goal. Its definately not a big enough deal to cause me to trade it in. Hell I can't put the game down lol
I don't mind weapon requirements but I've read to go from 6-7 or 7-8 u have to shoot 50 pilots out of the air after they eject. That's gonna suck. So random, I have about 40+ hrs in this game already and honestly don't think I've done that more then 2-3 times
Yeah, the move from 5 to 6 looks like it'll be ultra painful because of Goosing 50 Pilots. I'm not sure I have one yet.
Wow these are such a drag. I've put the game down. Trying to go from 2-3 gen but killing 50 titans with that piece of shit plasma gun is impossible. These challenges are ruining this game for me
These challenges don't interest me much. Getting together with friends when private matches are added is what I am looking forward to.
Same here. I think challenges and achievements are part of the reason people get burned out on games so quicky these days. It's also frustrating when you are focused on trying to beat the other team and you have teammates who just are just trying for challenges.
Yeah, I've really been sucking running around with that shot gun. Sure my teamates that want to win appreciated it. It's OK for holding objectives and camping. Nothing else. Looks like 4 would be as high as I try for. I have zero interest in sniper rifles, crappy quad rockets, etc.. i was pretty much running with gen 4 loadout at the latter half of gen 1.
And I agree with Lou on the Rail gun.
The DMR is pretty sexy. I prefer the ACOG-ish scope on it. Its a two hit kill from anywhere. The Rockets are kind of a lame weapon from a distance, but up close, they're pretty brutal.
I don't agree with that. I use the shotgun fairly reguarly and do well with it.....without sitting around camping an objective ;)
The quad rockets are a little problematic, but I started liking them when I got the mod that let you shoot one rocket out at a time. Its pretty devestating like that, too.
Also, this shotgun hate is ridiculous. Its got a stupid long range for a shotgun, and its a very powerful weapon up close. Sure, if you camp, that's an obvious way to make it work. You can also put that sonar-see-through-walls vision on and chase folks down and stomp them out with the shotgun too. The Hemlok needs a slight buff, as does the single fire rifle. Maybe it just needs more rounds in the clip for default, though.
Same. If it's not a challenge I can get while playing my regular way, I don't give a shiz about them
The Plasma Railgun is a great weapon when you get the hang of it. Don't use Instant Shot, use the regular one and charge it up. Keep enemies at a distance. A fully charged shot will instantly drop a full shield. The next shots should be charged halfway or more and aimed at the enemy's critical spots (they glow red once the shield is down.) If you combine either Lightning Cloud or Particle Wall, they'll prevent enemies from pursuing you while you charge your shots. Using your Ordnance Shots while charging your shots will keep enemies at bay. While charging your shots, stick to cover and try crouching near walls. Trust me, the Plasma Railgun can be a devastating weapon.
Well I've tried everything and the plasma gun is pure shit IMO, might as well be shooting toilet paper at enemies. This has totally ruined this game for me. Back to Ghosts
Gooser challenge is total crap also, cause you have no control over it
Works for hunting campers too, rodeo's. Point being more that it's not much help outside close-very close quarters which makes sense. I got better using it in a way that makes it useful. I kept it for a while after completeing the gen2 challenges for it.
I learned to like the shotgun when I changed my play style to use it for the regen challenge. Agree on the buffs to the Hemsuck and worthless semi-auto.
