Trying my hand at livery
Trying my hand at livery
Hello!
First of all, thanks for what looks to be so far a great place to race. Lots of friendly chatter which even the wife is enjoying (she's thinking about joining in the racing?!...she might be faster than me so I dunno). Anyway on Friday night while attempting to race with Jcotter and crew, in A and S classes I realized with horror that I didn't have any circuit tuned A or S class cars! Either thumpers for playing tag or S class drift machines with no traction. I set about creating my first 2O4F circuit racer A class car.
I picked the 67 Vette because A, I already had one, and B I wanted to do a privateer type paintjob. I overhead JCotter mention that white with a blue stripe was the vintage colors for team USA, so that's where I started. Here's where I am so far with the car:
I just put my racing number in the spreadsheet (I picked #137) so I'll have to change that. I'll also have to check out Oldschool's storefront to get some proper logos. Whatever I don't find there I'll go ahead and make and put them up myself. I'd really love a corvette crossed flags logo on the tail of the car.
Any criticisms or advice is welcome, I've got some work to do still but so far this is my favorite paintjob on any of my cars.
BTW is there a variant of the 67 corvette where I can remove both front and rear bumpers? Kills me to remove the front and not be able to remove the rear to put the fin on it. Yes I know performance is king, but I like my cars to look good too!
Thanks!
Simple, yet effective. Nice work.
Very clean. send me a friends request and I WILL make you a happy man.
They'll "double team" you all right. Don't trust them bro.
i trust you... just do it.....
Haha, hmmm.... I may have to keep the wife from hearing about this! Thanks guys, Snappy I went ahead and friended you last night, but forgot OldSchool's screen name, so I'll have to send that request tonight.
I should've known to be worried. So many friendly people...this had to be one of "those" websites
Awesome thanks! I've really got to start looking for a replica project to do. I love the work you guys do bringing real cars into the virtual world. Mebbe the world could use another Sunoco/Penske Camaro clone running around. I do need an R3 class car and I think I can push one into there...
