As many of you know, my family has piloted our stable of Awesome chassis for generations. Since my great great grandfather Tobias Ferret was granted command of his AWS-8T "Newton" in 2902 in service to the Combine, our family, and with it our family's honor, has been tied to these great machines.
Tonight, mechwarrior Jonathan Paine sullied that honor. In his boasting about the Stalker chassis and his belittling of the great Awesome, he went too far. My honor demanded that I challenge him to an honorable duel, like the Zellbrigen practiced by the Clans; that we bring to the field of battle one Awesome and one Stalker, and that we restore the honor of the Awesome by destroying the boastful Rasalhagueian mechwarrior and his precious Stalker.
And so, reciting the deeds done by my forefathers in the mech I rode into battle, we met in the frozen city, and we danced...
...and the honor of the Awesome was restored.
ok thats awesome, no pun intended.... but how did you guys manage a 1vs1?

Ohhh if I had only been there to see the hilarity and shit talking.
I'll say this, that was one of the most fun experiences I've had in this game... my heart was racing when I got to the designated point and told JP over Raid to begin! Raidcall was as silent as I've heard it for the next couple of minutes :) Great fun, and cheers to JP for being such a good sport and awesome dueling companion! JP is a fierce competitor!
And I'll say this: we need to compete more, based on our performance in the game we competed in! The game before we met on the field of battle, we decided to compare my PPC Awesome to his PPC Stalker in a match... I never made more clutch shots, melting dudes as soon as their heads popped up, and I've never seen such a crazy score out of JP! I was proud of the 660 damage, 2 kills, 3 assists on my record, but JP did like 1100 damage with 3 kills and 4 assists... we just wrecked the other team trying to compete with each other :)
Didn't 2 of our lances go against one another this weekend too? I missed it but i remeber someone saying there 4 man went against another one of our 4 mans
4 of us met JP in game, sly little bastard evaded us all (we died) in Conquest till the end..
Yeah, like an hour after that :) I was mad that JP and I couldn't give it another go... we brought the wrong mechs :)
That was some good fun! Also, remind me to never bring STREAK missiles to a friendly fire fight::)
