I had my best ever game of Halo2 online last night. Im delighted. It made a change from the mediocrity Im used to through lack of playtime. Strangely enough it was my first game of the evening having not played in weeks. I had no warm up, no practise. Just straight into Rumble pit. The other strange thing was the game was on my least favourite level. Dont ask me the name of it, I dont pay attention to those things, I dont even know the name of the campaign levels and Ive gone through them often enough. Anyhoo, the level was the one with the two long corridors with boxes moving on conveyor belts, long and narow with two levels. I got 17 kills. 1...7...thats 10 more than I average on any level at any time. I even got a, what was it, Killfrenzy? 5 kills in a row I think. Im lucky if I get two kills in a row. Now I know this isnt particularly special in the grand scheme of things and a great many players out there would scoff at my achievements but for me it was a glimps of glory. It was a taste of the hights that might await me should I play more often. I had wondered whether to continue in Halo or leave it for COD, which is brilliant, and the other opcoming games. It just takes one game like this to re-ignite your fire. Of course, the other games I played afterwards were back to my usual pish but I didnt mind. I had touched the stars if ;;only for a fleeting moment.

It was a level playing field too, evenly matched and no cheats, woohoo!

I also meant ;;to say that ;;I broke the 1000 points mark in gamerscore. No big deal either but a bit of a marker. I dont put too much weight on the score system. No point if youre not playing all the games.

Oh and did I mention Im playing PGR3? No? Well I am and its great. I never really got into PGR2 but the new one just seems so much more fun. Im having a blast. Need a bit more practice before I venture online I think, but when I do stick my neck out......eat my tyre chaff.
