So, we won't be selling ipods anytime soon

So my wife and I were curious why the distributors don't have ipods. When you search for ipod stuff you get a huge list of ipod accessories...but no players. I can get plenty of creative players (like those video ones, nice).

But no ipods? So Jen found out how to become a reseller... its sad for us.

You have to buy $100,000 in product over the course of the year, you have to have been established for 2-years or more, you must support customers with walk in service (e-commerce not possible?) and you must be willing to do in-store advertising or something like that.

Crazy!

Hopefully we can become a Samsung authorized retailer because I had the idea of selling some of their DVD players and HDTV's but when we try to buy them it says we're not allowed to. Signing up seems easy (so far), but we need a fax number and the company fax line isn't up yet. So we'll wait to see how easy it is to become "authorized" until our new office vonage line comes in.

Man, all the damn paperwork and faxing. So time consuming. Once we're established, hopefully things will smooth out.
