Changing tastes

I know that I'm not well known on these boards, but I have to talk about someing.

In the past, I've been a huge RPG and Action fan. RPG's just seemed to have more depth and story to get through. Action games were just the instant gratification that I needed when I only had a couple minutes to spare. Now I find myself enjoying a different type of game and I don't know why. The racing genre has captivated me. I look back at my gaming purchases and I notice that racers are the majority of what I get. Am I turning my back on the RPG's and action games that I've loved years past? Not at all. I'm just getting older and my tastes are changing. Still those games beckon me. It's like a cheesecake that you had too much of and you just want another piece, but you'd explode if you did. I'm sure Gears will bring me back to the pie.

Ok...That wasn't as thought out as it was when I was actually thinking about it. Try not to rip this apart too much, OK?

First off, no one cares how well known you are so post when ever and how every you want... ;) Second, I agree. I was always into really long story lines and single player games all my life. Heck I grew up in Zelda. Nowadays I look for games that I can pick up and play. Things just change I guess.
