NASCAR '08

Well, today is release day for NASCAR '08.  The most underpromoted racing game to come out this year.  If you don't watch NASCAR on TV, you may not even know that it was coming out.  I'll be spending the next few days playing and then I'll post a review.

My poker tournament was last weekend and as luck would have it, I was the first one out.  Kind of sucks when that happens.  I didn't get many hands that I felt I could take to the flop, much less play beyond the flop, but that's how it goes some nights.  The best hand I had of the evening was two pair, Queens and Jacks, against a pair of Aces after fourth street.  I pushed hard to try to get the guy to fold and put out half of my chips.  He called my bet and an 8 came out on the turn.  I had him pegged as having Aces, but I didn't think he had an 8 in the hole.  I was wrong and took a good beating to my chip stack.  I would call that the begining of the end.  I limped in a few other hands, but never got anything decent.  With under $100 and the big blind at $20, I went all in with A2s.  I didn't match anything on the flop and knew that I was out of there.  Oh well.  There's always next time.
