Microsoft is distributing the latest backwards compatibility update bringing the number of backwards compatible titles to just over 450. Of note there are quite a few of the Sega 2K sports titles new to the list, particularly ESPN NFL 2k5 what some gamers feel to be the best football game ever. Hallejuah!!! That game combined with the $19.99 special pricing Sega offered was a huge success and seemed like it was ultimately what led EA to pony up some huge dollars to the NFL for the exclusivity deal. To be honest, it's the last football game I owned and actually enjoyed playing. The outcry was great, and the fan support spawned a website - http://nfl2k5forever.com/ For the next year, fans created custom rosters available for download on the site to keep the game alive. The same group has now moved on with a new site to support the All Pro Football series. I did not think this title would ever be added to the back compat list or I would have kept my copy. Time to hunt one down in the bargain bin!
