Santa thew up @ my house!!!!

I already know some may  hate this post so continue reading if you still have a wee bit of christmas spirit in ya. If not this isn't the blog for you. OH and I will RAMBLE ALOT!!!!!!

i LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year... mind you it took a long time before i actually started to enjoy it. I used to stress and HATE all the hoopla, It was overrated i thought a let down. BUT between me getting very sick at one point and luney being in the hospital  this year YOU really do put things into perspective, of course if you can get over the  pitty party which mind you I had at least several. BUT I really do enjoy all the decorations... the baking.... the driving with the kids and looking at lights,   Making them do all the corney sleigh rides and events in our town. I try really hard to make it about  family and such and not about GIFTS!!! which would be hard BUT our kids never have looked at christmas as a free for all... because luney and I never really say... during the year "wait for x-mas, or "ask santa" if they want it in May and its a good deal they'll get it!@ which has helped.  So each year I make them watch the Nutcracker, Help me decorate the tree with all the passed on ornaments that have been given to me with love and tell the same old stories and listen to cheesy music.  But when i listen to some of my friends talk about Shopping and dread.... and OH damn I have to do the tree and the DEBT. I feel bad because it doesnt have to be that way ...Luney and I have never used a credit card for x-mas yet.  Thats another HUGE rule so im not stressed. If its so large and expensive i need a credit card THAN my 12, 8 , or 2 yo DOESNT NEED IT lmao .   each kids gets a theme so i dont over spend or venture down many different present paths LOL my 2 yo wants all things dress up ... easy enough ... my 8 yo LOVES arts and crafts.. so canvas' paints, water colors, you name it we'll get in that theme... my 12 is getting a bit hard to have a theme so we venture out a bit~ this year for her clothes some jewlery and a 360 game of her choice i think party animals from viva... she likes that game. Oh and the older game crimson skies she LOVES. I know using a theme has saved us lots of money, because i used to go crazy. OH and I wont help at the school this month so I dont get crazy and hectic and overwhelmed I tone it down this month with her Brownie troop to. Instead of the typical girl scout " lets go sing to people" I have our troop doing a service project. We are taking the girls to a assisted living home to help decorate and make a few small gifts for people with no family. and than stay to serve dinner.  AND thats it... so I have plenty of time in Decemeber to be cheesy, annoyingly happy,  and Hopefully healthy and with NO credit card debt as a result of shopping. LOL   NOW mind you this is very HARD since LUNEY hates this time of year.... HE hates coming along with all the family fun CRAP this month. he HAS NO christmas SPIRIT AT ALL@! OH and it snowed Last night so now it really feels like the holidays are here!~~~~SORRY I have RAMBLED on
