I have made mention of politics a bit in my blog, plus I've seen other blogs recently where it's mentioned but not necessarily discussed. I'm seriously not trying to take a soapbox position here about the way that we, as adults, should act; I'm merely stating that I'd like to see an alternative, a place where people could say what they think about the issues, and why, without any of the following:
- Soapbox politics
- Personal attacks
- Extreme fundamentalism
- Infiltration by Timmies
Again: I am not trying to dictate the way that adults should act. In a few more months, Americans are going to decide who they feel is best qualified to make some major changes in the way this country is being run. I'm simply interested in how we can discuss this decision peacefully.
If anyone has an idea of how (or, even if) a civil political discussion can happen, to quote Ross Perot... "I'm all ears."
