Yes, that's right, Warner Bros. are making a Watchmen movie. For those of you who don't know, Watchmen is/was a comic book writted by Dave Gibbons and Alan Moore. It is the only graphic novel to daate to have won a Hugo award, and was included in Time Magazine's list of "100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present" in 2005. It's set in an alternate 1985 where the Doomsday Clock is currently set at 5 to midnight, and the world is teetering on the edge of chaos. It concerns a group of washed up ex-superheroes, forcibly retired after Congress outlawed them.
The book is a landmark piece of fiction, if you're into comics, then you'll almost certainly know about it already. If you don;t like comics, go get it anyway, you will not be sorry.
