So yesterday we took the twins in for their 1yr check up. The Dr. was very happy and said we can start to give them whole milk, and grown up food!!!

Thank God!!! No more having to buy that damn formula!!! 60 bucks alone every week and a half for that stuff..Now we will just have to learn to get more stuff at the grocery store..Teri and I generally "cook" about 3 times a week. Otherwise it is take out, soup, sandi's etc...So I guess the adjustments/changes never stop...That is ok, it means I will hopefully be eating a little better...

Here are the stats for the kids for their check ups:

Logan:

Height- 33 inches long. Off the charts for height, above the 99th percentile

Weight- 25 lbs even. 75th percentile

Summer:

Height- 30 1/4 inches. 75-90th percentile

Weight- 19lbs 4oz. 25th percentile (Dr. said she is not worried one bit about her weight, so I guess I will take her word for it)

That's right people, Summer is 2 and 3/4 inches shorter then Logan, and 5lbs 12 oz lighter then him...How the f&*^ did that happen, she eats pretty much just as much as he does...I guess the flaxx seed oil is really paying off...LOL

They had 3 shots each yesterday and had their finger pricked. I had to hold them down to give them their shots....THAT SUCKS ELEPHANT BALLS...I know it has to be done, but as they are looking at you crying with a piercing look of Why The Fuck are you letting them do that to me...It is weird to fight the urge to knock someone the fuck out for making your kids cry, while at the same time knowing this needs to be done..chick was lucky she is nice...otherwise things may have been different.

Anyways...Below are the titles/covers I picked up yesterday.

I know I do not say it all the time, but, Thanks to:

Glad to hear the kids are doing well. I bet your girl is just more active than the boy... maybe that'the difference. Re: needles. My Doctor is AMAZING at giving Erica neeedles: so quick Erica squeals once, then it's over before she know it. Giving needles is an art, it really is. PS: Thor has disguting fish-teeth. ew.

I give blood fairly often. My kid cannot understand why I would go and let them stick me with a needle.

Amen on the shots!!! Tore me up when I had to hold my girls down for them. My 4yr. old is brave enough for them now (she got the flu shot) but the 2yr old still needs "intervention". Hate it. One trick we learned (from somewhere) is to get your kids a play doctor kit and actively play with it with them. It did help make the real dr. instruments less scary. Rick
