"While Electronic Arts has the biggest name in sports gaming with the Madden franchise, it has been relegated to the minors when it comes to baseball games ever since Take Two signed an exclusive deal with Major league Baseball. Since that time, EA Sports has instead focused on its MVP NCAA Baseball series. Today, however, the company announced that it would not be renewing its contract with the league, and has dropped out of the baseball games race for now."
The article does go on to say that this would be temporary pending a Take Two mergertakeover.
