Stupidity is Everywhere

Now normally I am fairly tolerant of the IQ challenged we seem to be swarmed over on a daily basis.  This morning I had to take my grandfather in to have a cathiter replacement done for his dialysis.  He's in there for nearly 4 hours...a hell of a long time to wait in the waiting room.  So I of course would go up and talk to the nurse at the receptionist desk to get a status check.  I kid you not, the first three times she asks me if I have an appointment and starts hadning me a clipboard full of forms.  Ok, I can understand the first...maybe even the second time, but 3 times within one hour?  I mean..there was maybe a total of seven people including myself in the room the whole time.  Finally he gets out into recovery and she starts going over instructions with me.  Again, I can only stand there in jaw dropping wonder as she continues to amaze me by contradicting herself four times within the first 30 seconds.  I waited till she was out of range and found the doc, but it still just amazes me that a medical office would leave a walking, talking and obviously empty-heaeded liability loose without a gag or at the very least a do not listen to me sign on her.  For those of you that may wonder my grandfather came out fine and is ready to get his blood filtered once more.  I'll be honest...I am sure I have my "blonde" moments and though I don't expect everyone to be genius material...I would at least like to think that there are still some jobs out there requiring an IQ higher then a labadors.

Okay enough ranting and raving.  I'll leave you with this parting review.  Yesterday I got to watch Tinman, a scifi series event that was a aftertale of the Wizard of Oz.  I had gotten it off of iTunes for $6.00 total containing 3 episodes and something like 6 hours of footage I believe.  Completely worth it.  Seemed more of a futuristic remake in some ways with ties thrown in from the original to keep it a new storyline, but I definitely got more out of it then I expected.  So if you haven't seen it, take the time to watch it. 4 out of 5 stars in my book.
