Since I have owned the 360 my main concern was the good old fashioned way of playing a game....just finish it. This changed when I bought Fallout 3. I think this is because this was one of the first games I bought at launch. Because of this, I saw myself in an achievement race with the people on my friends list; where as before I would get a game many months after launch and everyone on my friends list had already tallied huge gamerscores. Sure, I could have looked at outscoring those people, but I found the race to be first to do certain achievements MUCH more thrilling.
I am now much more interested in going back and revisiting previously played games to bulk up on my gamerscore. Also, I have never completed all the achievements for a game. This too has become a ridiculous goal.
So thank you Fallout 3. I used to enjoy fresh air and reading books, now I'm more concerned with death matches, tallied kills and finding elusive treasures.
-Cheers!
