Kids ripping up the lawn and trying to toss it on stage only to be chided and eventually persuaded to stop by front man Al Jorgenson who bluntly said "look man, we get paid regardless if we keep playing or not so if you want us to keep play stop ripping up the fucking lawn" But I digress, I'm not here to talk about that but my next gaming fix. WOW has become routine and there's only so many alts I care to level. Sure there will be new content but it'll be fleating. Now prior to getting into WOW I was mentally prepared to buy a PS3 because they were promo'ing Killzone 2. This was 3 years ago and they just now released it, glad I didn't shell out the cashish then. But now it's different. I'm getting my taxes done tomorrow and hopefully the refund God's will shine on me once again and after I use a majority of it to pay off one piece of debt, I'll have some left over. Do I get the PS3, do I go w/an Xbox....I'm leaning to a ps3 but then after I conquer Killzone 2 i'll be endlessly hooked on buying $60 games every month......unless I get a FPS and do that.
Then there's also the possibility of doing another MMORPG. Pickings are pretty slim. Warhammer online? Pft. I hate pvp why would I do that and I can't remember the last time I heard anyone even mention it. There's Lord of the Rings, which I hear is OK and I have been curious about it but there doesn't seem to be a trial or if there is I can't figure out where to get one. DND, a classic but reading reviews it looks like a dying game full of fans that are resistant to change. Age of Conan, haven't heard much about that either but seems like it would be on par to LOTR. Diablo 3's coming out but God know's when....idk, there's a host of other ones and a ton in development. Any suggestions?
WOW needs a real competitor because they're getting a tad complacent. When Burning Crusade came out most of the end game dungeons were available to play, here we have the first new one in Ulduar and a resampled old one that they likely introduced too late ala Sunwell. Ya, people wanted to see Naxx but now it's become the equivalent of running Karahzan and everything is pugged where in BC it took quite some time for pug's to do the end game content making guilds more of a necessity. Guilds all over are having attendance issues as people grow tired of exisiting content and don't have to be in a guild to run and get gear from content. Blizzard's getting by with teasers now, teasing patch after patch so people stay interested. People can't wait for patch 3.1, which is promised to be the largest patch in WOW history yet a week after that comes out they'll leak the next one and people will be in trade "OMG I can't wait for 3.2...." sigh.
Tonight I'm going to see the Watchmen and looking forward to it and seeing some quality kills. Tomorrow, me and the dahoggy will be traveling south to the burbs to get my taxes done and celebrate my mom's 78th b-day. Also will be seeing some friends which I'm looking forward to. I should post some pics of the dog, gotta get that all set up on some picture site I guess.
Annoyance of the day: I can't take a day off anymore without being bugged throughout the day with trivial bullshit. Today, I'm turning off the Berry and giving the big middle finger in the air. I'm beyond over my job, but stuck in it for the foreseeable future. /cry.
P.O.A. of the day: Meagan Fox. Newly single and on the prowl. Gotta thank the lord for making something that beautiful.
