The weather's finally starting to warm up and yesterday here in Chicago we saw our first 70+ degree day of the year. Yummy. Now we'll suffer through the 40ish type weather with sprinkles of 50-60's and 30's and under for the next month or two before we can get some consistency. After any winter, as soon as it hit's in the 40's people are breaking out their shorts, bikes and getting ready to summer it up and in contrast once it hits the 40's in September/October we're getting out our winter coats and gloves.

Warcraft is proceeding along at its mundane pace. My main is a warrior and is pretty well geared, only needing 1/2 drops to complete my tanking set. Probably a trinket or two I could grab, but by and large I'm a well geared tank. With the new patch coming out, things will somewhat change for us all. This will be the largest patch in WOW history and it will bring a new raid dungeon Ulduar that promises more loot than all the Burning Crusade raids put together. It will also bring a new functionality for dual specs. Now for some players, this won't be a huge deal but for others this will allow a great deal of flexibilty. Mages for one, can use their frost spec to farm, click a button and change it up to something higher dps wise for dungeons. Druids will be able to take advantage of this greatly as they will be easily able to swap between tank, boomkin or tree depending on what they choose or what is needed. No more costly respec's for those people that arena or change frequently to accomodate their guild for a raid. For 1000 gold, you'll get to spec and glyph two different specs and they've included an equipment manager so you can save multiple sets of gear to accomodate any situation, including your respec. I've tanked forever, almost 2 years now I haven't seriously been a dps'r ever as a warrior in a raid so this will all be new to me. I've had to start actually collecting gear for a fury spec and have begun to research the dps rotation, gear choices, gems....It'll be somewhat easier on my Shammy who can switch between elemental and resto without many changes to gear and similiarly to my druid who can have a boomkin spec and take advantage of the gear already there. But I mainly want to tank, that's what I know the best and hopefully will get to do that. For trash, I suppose it will be nice to switch to a real dps spec with equipment when I'm not main tanking and avoid getting annoyed at the other off tanks full pulling off my target. That's my mage Decemburr by the way--> Ain't she purty?

So I've always been intrigued with video capture and yesterday tried to play with one program that was recommended by Eli at Eli's Angling website, however I could not get it to work and the instructions were vague (surprise) so I remembered another program, Fraps, and googled it found the site and dloaded it. This was much easier and actually worked and it was neat to video myself playing around on the public test realm, however that lead to my next issue which I need some help with. Fraps actually captures the video, however I need to find something to edit it and add little things into it like voice, and other stuff. Tankspot.com recommends a software called Sony Vegas for editing and something called Audacity for sound editing. Has anyone actually done these? Is there a simple solution for this or do i need to get two other pieces of software? And with that, I'll leave you with one of my favorite WOW you tubes, a tribute to the developers.

Sony Vegas is a pay program though its one of the best out there, atleast it was when I was capturing video from Halo. You can find it through "other means" if you really look around. I would imagine Vegas has limited sound editing but I'm not really sure haven't used it in a long time.
