Holiday

For the past week I've had off and will not be going back to work until next Tuesday. Although I've had to make several appearances, for the most part I've been able to leave work behind. I've set my task on digging out my house from the 3 years of general sloth that has overtaken it. First stop was my "dinning" room. When I first moved in I had a computer desk and my kitchen table was out, but when I nearly broke my ankle and was on crutches computer shit moved into my living room and just never went back. Over the course of time it just became a room for crap. The other rooms aren't too much better, so my mission this past week has been to clean it up. I got a corner computer desk and a moved it in and am nearly done with this room. One more box of crap to go through and through out and I'm done and can move on. I really haven't rushed this, just done a few hours here and there all week after all I am on vacation. I'm happier with the way the room is now and some minor tweaks and I can move on to cleaning the other rooms.

Another activity in Chicago this past weekend was the Pride Parade. I've had a float in it for my destination the past 4 years yet this year budget cutbacks forced me to bypass all parades, no St. Patricks day parade; no Pride parade. And it was a shame because they finally fixed the route barriers this year so the floats actually had uniteruptted route access. No one running up, no one getting ran over. It's really a fun drunken time, but not one for the homophobic so for those of you that are this next picture you'll probably wanna skip. Nothing like a sunny day in Chicago. Enjoy your holiday.
