WOW Waiting

They should rename the game "The World of Waiting".  I'm not sure when it started, but at some point the game turned into a game of waiting; waiting to get into a raid, waiting on people to get to the raid, waiting to kill a boss, waiting for loot to drop, waiting for people to get geared enough to try a harder fight, waiting for the next patch, waiting for the next expansion......Waiting.  It's pretty much what we do anymore.  Waiting on loot can be a painful thing as time drones on and you see the item on other players.  Last night, one of my waits ended with me finally recieving an upgrade to my tanking weapon, the sword Titanguard.  This was truely and epic wait as it replaced a weapon I got the first week in the new expansion; back in November......after that the next real upgrade was the Last Laugh which dropped only once and while I was next in line for it, it never dropped again and then we stopped being able to raid the dungeon because people stopped showing up.  When the new patch we waited for arrived and we downed the boss that dropped this back on April 24th, I though for sure it wouldn't be long but indeed it was; over two months so this makes this upgrade officially the longest fucking wait of any upgrade I've waited for, over 8 months.  That's almost ridiculous to think about and thinking about tanking weapons, I go back two years and there really hasn't been too much movement.  The November sword replaced the Ax from Supremus in Black Temple.  That was a hell of a piece and cool looking.  While I did also have the sword from Mt. Hyjal and it was supposed to be a decent threat weapon, it was pretty boring and I rarely if ever used it.  Prior to that the main weapon was the Mallet of Tides and this thing wasn't easy to get either, but I did get it and used it for a very long time.  That replaced the King's Defender which was my first true tanking weapon.  Man did that thing look cool with the Mongoose enchant on it.  Prior to that thing, it was a mace from heroic rampast and my very first tanking weaopn, the Crystal Blade of the Draenai.  The weapon is probably the least changed item next to my shield.

The picture above isn't me but kinda looks like me and it's the exact weapon enchant, Blood Draining which  builds up a health reserve which when your health drops below 35% is consumed.  It's a small amount of health, but the proc is supposed to be good and it's supposed to be a help.  It is the recommended enchant over others, however I may end up going back to Mongoose should this suck ass in reality.

Thats why I dont this its useful to focus on one thing so much. I mean, look at your overall gear set. In more ways it;s much better then the MT. sure the weapon wasnt the greatest but pretty much all the best tanking items have already dropped in ulduar. Win some lose some.

Everyone has a piece of gear that takes a while to drop for them. This was a long wait and it made me think about that particular piece in relation to the others I've carried and the game itself which I'm sure you would agree involves a lot of waiting.
