Who do you trust with your gaming news?
A good friend of mine (who also may be my archnemesis...) told me today that he only trusts gaming news that comes straight from the developers themselves. There are a couple exceptions to this rule, including Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb, who he deems the most qualified and ethical gaming journalists out there today.
I, of course, disagree. My gaming news comes from a variety of sources, including the developers themselves. But I also rely on sites whose job it is to deliver that information, such as Kotaku, Destructoid, IGN, and Joystiq.
So what do you think? Are developers the only trusted source of information about their own games? Or can an independent media be accurate enough to gain our trust? Where do you get your gaming news?

Personally I've heard inaccurate info come from developersall the time... far too often they are advertising the news because their projects are far too close to being canceled....and normally are canceled before they see so much as a cover art.
Trusting developers \"stuff\" is just like trusting a company with their Press Releases... for the \"facts\" I would trust them. Developers know the release dates best of all, quarterly earnings... that kinda thing.\r

But for impressions of games: I trust 2o2pers. I read lots and lots of reviews... and try to find a consensus. \r

will pm you with the rest...
I trust Adam Sessler and Victor Lucas (EP daily, Electic Playground). Both of those guys seem to have very simliar tastes to mine, plus they aren't afraid to let us know when a game stinks.\r

Oh, and I faithfully watch everything from Yahtzee... but if I trusted his reviews, I'd maybe play 1 game every 2 years, lol!
Scott Ruben. Victor Lucas. Tommy Tallarico. \r
