I am SO SICK OF ZOMBIES

Why is it someone goes and creates a very awesome game with lots of neat features and smooth storyline and then they go fuck it up with god damned zombies. Is that the only way to make a story arc in todays world? "Um, this human here is kinda wimpy as a protagonist, what if we...hmm, let's bring in some zombies out of nowhere and that will really tie up the story line."

No. That's wrong. The minute you bring zombies into the picture you're losing all credability as a well thought out game design. Unless the game is all about zombies (like that shitty game where you fight zombies in a mall for all eternity, it's not worth me remembering the name) then there is no god damned need to bring zombies into the picture. It all started, in my mind, with Wolfenstein 3D. They took these nazi's in a twisted 'fake' storyline of nazi germany and turned them into zombies. Okay, that's all well and good to do something crazy and change up the game in a new way.

It's not new anymore. It's very tired. Fuck the god damned zombies, give me a challenge against humans in a game that's 99% about Humans struggling for control of power or treasure or whatever it happens to be.

If you're of like opinion as myself, don't bother with Drakes Fortune for the PS3. It's just another waste of time.

Throwing Zombie like creatures into everything is the government’s way of desensitizing the general populace for when the full blown attack starts. It will increase our chance of survival. How many shotgun shells do you have stored? Seriously, it makes for better game play. Shoot a human once, maybe twice it’s over. Get shot once or twice it’s over. And the desensitizing part ;)

I take it you reached the twist. I wouldn't say they're zombies, more they are infected. They don't stand around sayin' "mmmmmm brains". In any case, I don't think Uncharted 2 has any "Zombies" just asshole warlords, but thankfully I haven't infected myself with too many spoilers.

Well, this game's being ejected from my system. Maybe I'll take a risk on uncharted 2, I dunno. This is pretty sad.

Too bad. I never viewed it as Zombies. I've given up Zombies and Nazis as "bad guys" but like I said I never viewed Uncharted as zombie country. More the Spanish Conquesadors (that spelling sucks ass lol) as infected but you'll have to play through (oh god no!" and "I still hate you" is my next gen highlights) to make you're own mind up. I would argue the Spanish aren't zombies. To each his own I guess.

All I know are they are undead looking creatures crawling throughout the walls and on the floors and over the rafters and bounce around while growling. I'd rather fight an organized set of militia or something than more minions and ghoul look-a-likes that take a thousand rounds of ammunition when only given 10 rounds. Then, you battle for, no shit, 20-minutes fighting them off and die...to start the same 20-minute battle from ground one no matter how many switches i hit YET NO SAVE POINT? I call bs. Infected, dead, whatever it is, it went from neat treasure-hunt style Indiana Jones to sci-fi in a matter of seconds. Seems they couldn't come up with a better idea so they bring back the sci-fi -- it doesn't fit the momentum, or theme of the game up to this point. Should have kept well enough alone and let me race to the treasure against the Spanish bad-ass dude with the gold Desert Eagle.

They're indigenous cave people! I'd say it's more of a viral kind of thing a la 28 Days Later than zombies. You've already put this much time into it, why not finish the game and experience the lame final boss battle as well that will surely inspire you to make another rant post? It's only right.

It's like "I am Legend" as well. I got enough out of that movie in the way of infected zombie like people, at least that movie was fully based around that, it didn't turn into a zombie-fest. I've got no plans to finish the game. There is no place in my life for cheap-ass "easy way out" storylines. Ejected.

Up until that point it is an awesome game, right? I got turned off by that twist. It didn't fit the first part of the game. It went from a tomb raider style of game to a survival horror. What you are really complaining about is the identity crisis the game has. You don't go up and switch genres like that.

How is it a genre switch? It always had that Indiana Jones feeling and those movies are riddled with occult / super natural elements. I enjoyed the twist. I will concur with BrokenDesign however that the end boss fight was underwhelming.

Occult super natural elements are cute and their tired and boring. It's basically what we all come to expect now in these style of games, not much different than Condemned, another game that looked like a cool drama mystery switched into zombie killer. Having super natural undertones is okay, fighting endless waves of partial dead zombie-like creatures is entirely different. I was hoping, from the start, that the game would be more adventure and puzzle solving and less third person shooter, we've got plenty of shooters on the PS3 by now, it would be neat to have a well crafted puzzle game more on line with myst then zombie killer.

zonbies are cool if it's a zombie game, but throwing zombies into cod W@w seemed pretty stupid but it's pretty popular. I'd rather play left4dead.
