Mood Shifts

Well, this morning has been one of mood shifts for me. This blog was orginally going to include a well written, deeply intellectual review of the movie Kick Ass, which I saw via a press preview with some friends here in Boston on Wednesday evening. However, after I experienced some unanticipated friction regarding the process for posting such pieces for the Front Page, I became a bit frustrated and discouraged and was put in a funk. I won't go into my feelings regarding the barriers that are currently in place that make it difficult for members of 2old2play to provide content for our Front Page, as I hope the upcoming V3 updates will elliminate some of these issues. I will simply state that I loved the movie Kick Ass and strongly recommend it to anyone who has an open mind regarding movies based on comic book franchises. Disclaimer: I have never read the Kick Ass comics, but plan to do so now that I have seen the movie.

So after some interesting exchanges within the Press & Writers Forum, I was feeling a bit cranky and petulent. Fortunately for me, and you as well, I came across a link that was fowarded to me by my girlfriend prior to her departure for work this morning. This video brought me out of my malaise and re-established my mantra of "Don't let the bastards get you down!". (If you took umbridge to this last statement, then YES, you are probably one of said bastards - and please realize that this statement is made it a tea-bagging, tongue in cheek spirit. I wish ill will to no one).
