Shared on Wed, 04/21/2010 - 19:01While perusing Twitter on a break today, I saw a post from my friend and fellow PAXEast junkie Nakki stating that a production of Evill Dead The Musical was coming to MIT here in Cambridge Mass thanks to the folks at the MIT Musical Theater Guild. I first found out about the original Evil Dead The Musical production while searching through I-tunes for some new music. As a long-time fan of all things Bruce (capital and bold type mandatory - thank you), I of course downloaded the soundtrack immediately and was thrilled to listen to instant classics such as "What the F*#k Was That?" & "Blew that Bi@*h Away!". So, when I heard that there would be a local production of this wonderful work of art (suck it Roger Ebert!), I immediately purchased my tickets for the debut show. As luck would have it, Nakki is also close friends with Kimberly Brink, the director of the upcoming MIT production. I hope to have an opportunity to interview Kimberly and get her perspective on the Evil Dead legacy and how this story translates to the stage.
Until then, I leave you with a this catchy little tune from the official Youtube Channel for Evil Dead The Musical. Is that a little Shelly on your shoe? Enjoy.
