It was about how PETA had made a spoof of SMB using Tofu Boy as their character. The irony is... PETA is far more of a household name than SMB ever will be, and by calling attention to the game, PETA inadvertently boosts Team Meat's interest/sales, etc. I'm no vegetarian (used to be though, thanks to a 2 year promise to a former roommate in college) but I don't hunt or even want to hear about hunting, however I'm not a PETA supporter. It doesn't matter what I am really, just saying that I think it's funny SMB got all this attention. After the news story I went on the SMB website, and they actually made a playable character, Tofu Boy, who is pretty much impotent. He can't jump well, doesn't stick to walls easily, and pretty much just fails. It's comical to watch the video thingy they made of it. I hope they do an update on the game soon.
December is always crazy for me, being a performer and teacher of performing ensembles. I have 11 concerts this month. 3 down, 8 to go, the next 2 being tomorrow. My wonderful boyfriend drove clear across town in rush hour traffic while he was sick, and still came to my concert last Friday. I took him out to dinner and drinks afterward to say thanks. He's been a very good sport about my ridiculous schedule. Normally we see each other 4 or 5 times a week (I know, it's sickening, isn't it? I love it.) but we're down to like 2 days now, and those aren't even weekends. Can't wait for December 18! That's the last day I have any concert obligations. I shouldn't complain, I signed up for every one of these activities. It's just a beating though. However, school is out on the 17th so I have all that extra time to go shopping! I haven't done any Christmas shopping. I think Microsoft points are going to be a popular stocking stuffer in my family this year.
Wish I had more to say, but I'm all out.
