Manipulative cow!

Concerts this month: 11. Concerts left to go: 4. Hooray!!

Long ass weekend chock-full of orchestra stuff, followed by a well deserved drink and good conversation. I also made chili and an exceptional bread pudding on Sunday. OMG, drool. I taught my boyfriend how to make the creme anglaise for it (yum) and he did it perfectly.

Many blogs ago I mentioned the friend who is manipulative and continually bosses people around... she's struck again. She made me cancel my Christmas plans with my boyfriend so I could rehearse with her and some of her students on Sunday. I told her that I was busy, she said too bad, cancel it. I said no, too bad for you that you didn't book my in advanced. After a long conversation I agreed to give her two hours, but two hours only! My boyfriend and I rescheduled our tickets for the show we were going to see. He's been VERY patient with this girl. So Saturday night at 12:15am she texts me that I need to be there at 11:45 instead of 12, but she promises I'll be done at 2. She already booked someone and they MUST rehearse with me. I figure, fine it's 15 minutes, that's an extra $20 for me, I'll take it. So I show up at 11:45, all is well. But by 1:45 she says I will need  you to stay until 2:30 because I am running late and my students have already paid for that time with you. I got pissed. Not just a little irritated, I was seething. This shit always happens with her, and she totally takes advantage of people in situations where it's uncomfortable to walk away from it. I stayed until 2:30, the busted ass to get to my BF's house. He wasn't angry at me, but agreed that my friend has no respect for anyone. I agree. But she's getting me like $400 in gigs so it's hard to turn down at Christmastime. Anyway, I just wanted to vent. That's it.
