My ex is a jerk

My ex husband is in the category of "special people"... special because I wish a very specific torture upon him for the things he's done. Annnyway.... he owes me a ton of money, and because I wanted out of the marriage ASAP, I agreed to be lenient with the pay schedule. WAY too leniant, now that I see the result.

He's had two years to pay me what I'm owed for the house, and the rest of the money I just said to pay it as he can. How stupid am I? Desperate to get out, more like. So he sends a check fairly regularly- usually his new wife signs it and send it on its way on time (at the end of each month), but recently they've begun to slip. I called him on it and he says that with their kids and the house and everything else going on that he didn't have the money yet. (This is bullshit- I know he makes more than I do, and I know when he gets paid.) He HAD the money but spent it already (*cough* *typical* *cough*) so I can't count on it this month (of all months not to have it, right?). So he's a wank. Actually, I suspect his clever wife left him already- the last two checks I got were in his name only and on a different account... I'm wondering if she smartened up way sooner than I did and got the hell out of there, kids and all?! Good luck lady, you won't find it with him.

He was always so hateful around Christmas time. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with him anymore. This year will be the best in so many years. Last year blew hard, and the last three years of my marriage were such shit that even Christmas couldn't brighten things up. I'm headed out tomorrow with Matt to Colorado. Yay!!! Snow, cheese shoppe, sledding, cheese shoppe, the brewery, cheese shoppe, the brewery.... probably in that order. LOL jk

Matt and I ate sushi the other night. The host asked if we would like to try the Uni. (Uh, that's a big NO there, partner.) Matt asks what it is so I begin to describe it: it looks like a small tongue, but jiggly. From the moment it enters your mouth you wish you could find a way to spit it out without being obscene. It's cold, has the consistency of almost-set Jello, and tastes like peanut butter gone bad. Matt says he wants to try it, since I made such a big deal about it being unpalatable.

I think I was talking a little too loudly because when the sushi chef handed him HIS order, he also gave me a sashimi cut for myself. Me and my big mouth- it always gets me into trouble. So Matt is staring at his, trying to summon the courage to pop it in his mouth. I KNOW what it tastes like, so I'm trying to pretend it's anything else. Finally I grab it and jam it into my mouth, chew it down and say "Not as bad as I remember," in encouragement to Matt. Now that was a damn lie. It was as horrid as ever. So I make a few more yummy sounds then Matt nuts up and eats one of his. (Yeah, he got two.) His face didn't exactly contort, but he got very very still and then calmly sipped water. Then slowly turned to me and asked quietly if I'd like the other one since I liked it so much. *facepalm*  So what could I do? I ate it. That one I barely choked down. I was glad for the water and extra eel roll I had left, so it would mask the leftover rancid taste in my mouth. LOL It was an experience. We also did quail egg shooters, which I love :) Matt is fairly new to eating sushi, but he's handling it like a pro. I'm glad that he likes it. It's just another thing we can enjoy together. I'm really beyond happy. It's just right.
