Shared on Tue, 01/18/2011 - 08:52Last entry was in September after my hearing on custody. I didn't win the kids, but I did get a court order stating that we need to have an official parenting plan that gives me more parenting time and specifies that she (pew) cannot make unilateral decisions about the kids. I also get electronic visitation (aka - xbox time) and a couple other minor things.
Long story short. I've had two additional mediation sessions since 9/9/2010 because she keeps changing her mind. She'll agree with the parenting plan, and then on the day she is supposed to sign it, she refuses. She has already had one lawyer drop her because she is being so unreasonable.
I have another hearing tomorrow (1/19/11) where we are asking the court to force her to sign it and pay for my legal fees because of her foot dragging. I cannot think of one reason why the court would not order both since this whole thing should have been done by the end of Sept. I have missed all my visitation and all my xbox time with the kids since september.
The statement "justice delayed is justice denied" fits perfect in this situation. the court system in the US for family law is so screwed up. All I want to do is be able to see my kids, and yet the court offers no relief in this crazy situation. Yet if I took the matters into my own hands, i'd be put in jail. There is no justice for guys if their their crazy ex-wives keep the kids from them. the courts just don't care. I've been in this mess for almost 7 years now, and I only get to see my kids once or twice a year. She even blocks their phone from me. Lucky for me, one of my daughters goes against her crazy mom and texts me once in a while, so i have a little glimpse into their lives. Can you imagine being told when you can see your kids, when you can talk to them. how you should talk to them, what you can do with them...
