Well the only reason it went away is really the turn out VS the cost. When the economy took a shit a lot of people had to cut back on fun things like getting drunk in a giant room of old people.
The LAN is going to return this year, it will simply be smaller then normal. Probably around 50 people or so.
Just a suggestion then. If you are going to limit the number of people that can go make the first 45 first come first serve. Then do contests throughout the year for the other 5. I say this because I always signed up for the LAN late because I didn't know far enough ahead if I could go or not. I would also want to give the people that aren't on the site every day a chance to go to the lan. The people that are on everyday will know the day signs will start so they will have an advantage. Nothing wrong with that, I just think then everyone else should have some sort of chance and contests would help get community involvement going.
