Just a heads up to the rest of the community about a policy change for people running clans here on 2o2p. We want to ensure that members of 2old2play have the freedom to play any game with any clan or any person at any time. We don't want over bearing rules or regulations to stop members from playing games with the people they want. In fact, 2o2p is all about getting out and meeting others from all walks of life.

I'm excited to say that this year we have had our fastest selling week of Lan tickets since the LAN started 5 years ago.  I'm pretty excited to see some new clans and new faces this year and hope we have our best lan yet.  On a side note, remember to book your hotel and plan tickets early to get the best possible deals.  The longer you put it off the more expensive the trip is going to be so don't wait to long!

In case you didn't notice the 2010 Chicago Lan Party tickets are now on sale via the home page.  This year we were able to reduce the hotel room rate cost and secure a pretty fantastic space at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare.  If you haven't heard, we are limiting the amout of tickets sold this year to 80 in order to make sure our room size fits our number of gamers.  I'm already getting siked about it and I can't wait to see my old friends again this summer.  Hopefully I can meet some new ones as well!.

I have to thank J-cat for the latest public topic on 2old2play. For a site that often has every member sitting in their clans comfort zone only to venture out when a thread feels safe, this topic of women in gaming has sparked real discusion from all sides on a site wide level. The craziest thing is that for the most part, everyone has been civil... adult even.

Looks like this years LAN will be held at the Marriot Hotel in Chicago if everything goes acording to plan.  Just met with them today and it looks like an 80% chance if they agreed to the room costs and time frame.  If you were at the LAN 2 years ago you might remember the Marriot.  We wanted to have it back at the Wydamn Ohare, but believe it or not they filed for brackruptcy and no longer exsist.  I hope to have the dates set this week.  Stay tuned!
