Yet Another Hotel Reminder for the LAN

If you haven't booked a room with the hotel you PLEASE remember group rates end July 27th after 12pm.

After the cut-off date, the hotel will release these rooms and the rate will increase so if you have not booked yet, do it now! Also, if we do not meet the minimum number of nights for the group and left over rooms are charged to the group account (IE me) so if you have booked already but did not give them the 2old2play name, please make sure you call them back and let them know.

Bad Economy? How about a Lan Party?

Yeah so I guess Im changing my "OMG WE ARE ALL FUCKED" attitude about the LAN this year and finally getting more siked about the whole event.  Sure there is the lurking 5k in extra rooms that I may need to cover, but just look at the attendance.  It went from a dead stop at 60 people to almost 80 in 2 weeks!  Bad Economy?  I guess not as much as I thought.

Woot. 60 tickets

I guess even through this economy we still have a pretty decent number showing up to the lan.  It's no last year in terms of volume, but today we just hit 60 tickets.  I'm going in this week to finalize some hotel issues and the TVs are ready to go.  Im getting pretty excited and can't wait to see you all there.  Viva La Awesome Town!

So I'm 30

And so ends the days of saying I'm in my 20's. For this birthday I'm off to get really really drunk at the racetrack and watch others lose small fortunes on the pony's. That always make me feel better.

Armada99 has helped me like COD again

Thanks Armada99 for sending me that copy of W@W.  I used to be a huge fan of the CoD series, but fell out of love with CoD4 with the lack of maps and repetitive game play.  For some reason in my old age I need constant updates and changes in order to keep my ADD at bay for long enough to enjoy something.  In fact when W@W arrived at the house I didn't even put it in the Xbox for 3 days.  I gave it a shot last night and I must say I really like it.  So many maps to choose from and many of them well thought out designs.  Of coarse I'm sure some of the hardcore fans will still say CoD4 is much

Are we a Community anymore?

I recently recieved a PM from an old friend saying that the site has really gone down hill in the past year or so. There was talk of some old school members of the site who quitely left becuase they felt 2old2play was no longer a community. They sited issues with clans becoming much to insolated, not enough community events, and that all 2old2play did was ask for money from them.
