Beatlegras

I saw a band last night called "Beatlegras" that basically plays Beatles music to a Bluegrass style.  Yes, strange - I know, but let me tell you, it's not just refreshing to hear Beatles music from a different perspective, but it's also a blessing to witness the 3 members of Beatlegras show that they have serious musical chops, not just a quirky idea.  George is a master on bass, Milo is an incredibly bizarre guy with an oddball humor that kills the mandolin and fiddle, and Dave the middle man rapidly moving up and down the kneck of his guitar.  These guys are incredibly in-sync and play of

Worry

I was just thinking, I'm really worried that pessimism isn't growing anymore - what will happen if it disappears altogether?  Keeps me up at night and creates a knot in my stomach.

Sports

Anyone ever wonder why hail size is related to sports?  You got your golf ball sized hail, baseball sized and softball sized.  Ever wondered why they aren't related to other items?  Like fruit!  Cherry sized, orange sized, grapefruit sized... I'd hate to get hit by a pineapple sized...

PS3 vs XBox 360

There just isn't a magic bullet to this debate. It's many factors playing together with a kind of "tally sheet" that still could come out with an unclear result based on the unpredictable nature of humans. So, here are some of the major factors I see (numbered for convenience, not ranked in any way):

1) First to market
2) Price
3) Features
4) Technology advancement
5) Accessory price
6) "fun" value with friends and family
7) Killer apps
Marketing
9) Timing

Chewy :-(

Something bad happened last night.

As a quick back story, I was married for 7 years and when we first got married, we got a kitten (Pepper) who was a cute grey tabby.  Soon after we divorced, Pepper suddenly had a seizure and died at age 7 and it pained me a great deal - you may remember my blog about it.  That was about 2 years ago, and since then I've wanted a pet but wasn't quite ready to take that on, but the feeling was increasing.   It's a risk taking on a pet because, they always pass away at some point.
