Over the weekend, I decided that I would go to the ballpark for the first time in almost three years to watch the local Major League Baseball team play. In case you did not know, I live near Cincinnati so I hauled my butt out of bed early on Saturday in order to make the 1:15 game time between the Houston Astros and the Cincinnati Reds.

Here is a topic that paints me as a bit of a goober but one that I’m sure will generate much discussion: the idea of having your own theme song. Think about it, you walk into a room and your theme song plays to the amusement or horror of the room’s occupants. It could be the same way as you enter a Halo party; a clan mate could have the room busting out in laughter as he/she enters to ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends’ while yet another clan mate might disturb the party by joining to the strains of ‘The End’ by the Doors.

There is something that every gamer probably thinks about at least once in their lifetime and more than likely on a regular basis. That thought is, “How good am I really and what do my peers think of my abilities?” Sure, games have numbers and ranks that give an approximate idea of the skill level of a player but numbers and ranks can be corrupted or skewed through various means. In most cases, a fraudulent player will eventually be exposed but it is not always easy to tell beforehand. I bring this topic before you because I have recently asked myself this same question.

Ah, warm weather has finally arrived in the Ohio River Valley and it appears that it is here to stay. With warm weather moving in, that can only mean one thing: Roller Coaster Season! The joy of playing Halo 2 with your clan mates online is a pretty tempting thing but I could easily forget about Halo 2 if the activity involves riding coasters. It should come as no surprise that I am a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts. While I am going to be lucky enough to ride my 100th coaster this summer, some members of ACE have ridden over 400 coasters across the globe.
