The Good and the Bad

Ah, the ups and downs of a single day. Today we celebrated my son's 4th birthday. We had a party at a local place that has a big...... tree house is the description that comes to mind. It was a lot of fun, he and his friends all had a blast. At the end they were all tired, filled with cake and all is good... Well that is the good part.

The Dream Took a Hit

Well, after two good games, the Illini laid an egg in Iowa. The worst thing was I had to watch most of the game from a car dealership while the wife tried to swing a deal on a car. Needless to say, neither ended well. Those car salesman always try and screw you on the trade in. Well, the Illni have to meet up with Michigan this Saturday on prime time TV. Time to regroup and get back to business.

The Dream Took a Hit

Well, after two good games, the Illini laid an egg in Iowa. The worst thing was I had to watch most of the game from a car dealership while the wife tried to swing a deal on a car. The Dream Lives on

After about 2.5 hours of chearing, yelling, cussing ( I had to keep that to a minimum with the kid around) the dream lives on: Illinois: 31 Wisconsin (5) : 26 Now as long as Juice and A. Benn are okay, it may still live on.

OMG......PS3

I just visted Ebay, out of curiosity, to see what the PS3 was going for:

$2,000.00 + !!!

Now $600 I could probably get the wife to bye into, maybe (I would probably have to stick oatmeal in the 360 and blame it on the kid) ........but two grand.  That is a nice plasma TV, plane tickets to Europe, a downpayment on a car (GM of course), 33 (and a third) XBOX 360 games.

I am sure some will pay it to get it for the holidays, just seems a little crazy to me.

Why Do People Do This?

About a year ago, I unknowingly dropped my wallet at my  gym. When I realized it was missing I checked to see if someone had returned it.  Since I suspected that the only place I would have dropped it was by my locker, I knew the worst had happened…. someone had my wallet.   Before I could even get home to get the credit card canceled, this “individual” (from this point he will be referred to as Jack A.) Ran up a $350+ charge at a grocery store (I guess they don’t check id anymore) and $30+ at a gas station….
