93 - Uncomfortable, but not too bad

Okay, so things were pretty 'frosty' at my parent's house yesterday. We had to wait around until 9PM before my dad went out to work and we could go round. Mum was fine, and we managed to spen our time there just talking about mindless drivel, but it was still uncomfortable. Mum's choice of present were, as usual, pretty cool.

92 - Yup, Christmas is definitely ruined

*sigh*

Where to start?

I phoned my mum last night, and she tells me that she doesn't agree with my dad at all. I think she's probably a bit disappointed that we're not getting them anything, which I can understand, but she understands that we're doing it out of neccesitty, not out of spite. It was a tough phone call for me, and i was amazed that I held myself together as well as i did. She told me that she'd understand if we didn't want to come over at all this Christmas, and I swear I think my heart broke right down the middle when she did.

91 - Seriously - Fuck Christmas

Things have gone from Bad to Worse. I got an email back from my dad earlier on which basically says that he doesn't want to have anything to do with either of us any more. Ever.

I'm going to be 'phoning my mum tonight to speak with her and see what's happening. I can only hope she doesn't feel the same way he does. I've already had to grit my teeth to stop myself from crying at my desk, I really don't want to have to phone my boss tomorrow and tell I can't come in because I'm having a nervous breakdown.

90 - Fuck Christmas

Yes, that's right - I did just write, "Fuck Christmas". It's exactly how I feel just now.

I received an email out of the blue on Saturday afternoon from my father, accusing Morag (yes, finally giving my girlfriend's name) and I of being tight-fisted and miserable because we're not giving presents out this year.

89 - Teased by Rockstar North

I never mentioned before, but my office in Edinburgh is just round the corner from the offices of Rockstar North. I walk past them pretty much every day.

I was waiting in line for lunch at Greggs the other day, when I noticed 2 or 3 people walking past me from the direction of the Rockstar offices wearing black hoodies emblazoned with a logo simply reading, 'IV'. Nothing very distinctive in and of itself, but I recognised something about it, either the logo itself or the font. It only took me a few seconds to figure out that it's the 'IV' from the Grand Theft Auto IV logo.
