Goodbye George Carlin, RIP...

Groundbreaking counterculture author and comedian George Carlin, known for his raunchy, but insightful humor, died Sunday in Los Angeles, his publicist said. He was 71.

I'm in too much of a rush today for a proper write-up, but rest assured I'll be listening to George's CDs and re-reading his books over the next week.

Although most sane people are trying are trying to conserve money and cut spending, most gamers can't claim sanity as a strong point. Therefore I'll pass word on about the awesome sale that Gamefly has going on right now.

Vacation ending...

It has been a good vacation, but as they say - all good things must end sometime.

I took two weeks off, which for me is about 15 days. Spent the first part of a week bumming around decompressing.

I just finished the second part - visiting family in Athens, Ga. I hadn't seen the family in a good long time and my great nephew just knew me from the cool toys I sent on xmas and b-days.

Blub...

blub, blub, blub...

Been sick for the past few days. Dunno what it was, but it is almost gone now. It just gave me a sinus headache from hell, some digestive disturbances, dizziness, sound & light sensitivity, etc. The OTC sinus headache medicine worked the first two days, but not the last two. I toughed it out and apparently won.

Frontlines...

I finished the Frontlines:Fuel of War SP campaign. I recommend playing using the Hardcore setting as the lesser settings are really for grannies and timmies.

The game storyline is based on a worldwide shortage of oil after the middleast and assorted smaller fields dry-up. Gas prices skyrocket, then rationing, then none. Cities go dark after there is no oil to burn or feed/lube machines to support power generation. Choas rules the civilian population.
