Friday Blog part 1

So Blockbuster failed me. After going to three different Blockbusters last night all of them had sold out of re-orders for Halo 3 The Head in an Box Edition. So it looks like I will be hanging out at EB on Monday night. I have already preordered a copy through EB many months ago so I am not too worried about not getting it Monday night. I was hoping to avoid the horde. Oh well. At least I will have company.

Goodbye EB

  So I am ditching EB this year. I am going to reserve a copy of the “Head in a Box” edition of Halo3 at my local Blockbuster. They are staying open an extra hour on the 24th. It’s a five minute walk away, and should be less of a Halo3 fan boy mob than waiting for six hours outside EB in the mall.

REZ

  Best news today…. REZ is coming to Xbox Live. What’s REZ you ask? It’s a funky flying through virtual worlds kind of game where the music you hear is generated in real-time. Locking onto enemies, the shots you fire, the explosions have different sounds that mixes together to make the music you hear. Weird, not getting the picture… maybe a movie will help get the idea across….

REZ

13+Days

  Well in thirteen days and a few hours a lot of us will be having our Halo orgasm in the comfort of our living rooms and dens. And I am asking myself if I want to line up for five hours surrounded by desperate Halo fans just to be able to play it for a few hours before my body shuts down from lack of sleep. Or, I am now hoping that my local Blockbuster will have it at midnight instead. I think I would prefer to take a leisurely five minute walk down the road and pick it up in a more subdued environment and then wander back home and have my Halo orgasm.

COD4

  I got to play the COD4 beta last night. I like the new perks system. They integrate seamlessly into the game. I like the audio details, and the visual touches that add to the experience. Like the leaves blowing around on Overgrown, and the feeling of being pinned down inside a building watching the bullets rip through the walls. I don’t like the spawning system. After playing for ten minutes I was thinking to myself, they still haven’t got it right. The maps need to be bigger also. I won’t be happy until maps in games are the size of Nebraska.
