A new photo.

I took this shot earlier today.  Everyone in my household usually gets sick of peeps after about one.  I grabbed a leftover, put him on the kids playmat where the sun was shining in nicely, and snapped this pic.

Check out my oldest son.

He has been doing Taekwondo for a few months and he loves it.  I have been in to martial arts since I was his age and he is following in my footsteps.  :-)  Here he is breaking the orange board on his first try:

Have you heard this riddle?

I am going to give you some money. You can have one amount right now, or you can have another amount over the course of 30 days. The choices are $1,000,000 right now or starting today I give you $0.01 (Not Verizon math, that is a penny). Every day for 30 days, I will double that penny. Which would you rather have?

Which did you choose? Did you make the right choice? Sure one million dollars is a lot of money no matter how you slice it, but the second option can be expressed as an exponential function.

f(t) = A * ((2^t)-1)

t = time

A=original amount

Is my "friend" a racist?

There was a guy I grew up with that I kind of lost contact with, but we recently reconnected on Facebook.  He posts a lot of political opinion and links on his page.  A lot of it has to do with illegal immigration and the like.  When Barak Obama was elected Preseident, he made some comment to the effect of, "I thought we were supposed to see past color, why is everyone making a big deal that he is black?"  I responded with something to the effect of, "You seriously can't see the historical significance of this event?"
